Wildlife on the Cassiar

Driving on the Cassiar can be dangerous if you don't pay attention.

We witnessed this driver attempting to pass a group of folks stopping to look at a wonderful bear on the road. Unfortunately, the driver of this "super sized" camper didn't pay attention to the soft shoulder and began his slide off the road. To make things worse he was towing an SUV which didn't help. The only thing that appears to save the coach from rolling on its side was the fact that it "high-centered" on the shoulder.

The wildlife sighting on the other hand was spectacular.

This beautiful cinnamon black bear gave quite a show.

Yukon Johann got some great shots from the back of the coach.

The rest of the drive was very scenic... as expected. Raw wilderness in all direction
We are in Dease Lake looking to go to Telegraph creek. They say the Grand canyon of B.C. is located here.
